Is Happiness in Your Genes?
It may be that whether you see the glass half full or half empty is, at least in some part, an expression of your genes.
An article published in Nature Genetics presented findings from a large scale study announced the discovery of genetic variants for happiness, depression and neuroticism. The researchers noted the genetic variants for happiness were expressed in the central nervous system, adrenal glands and pancreas.
The discovery may offer new insights into the study of depression, which is a major mental health issue.
